What I do
I work predominantly in timber, but often combine other materials such as Resin, Steel and Leather. Every piece I make is one of a kind, using technology where appropriate but with an emphasis on traditional craft skills.

About Ray
Ray Spooner is a business owner, auther and master craftsman. He started working with wood at the age of twelve when his dad, a cabinet maker, set him up a workshop in the garden shed. Ray's love of wood has remained with him his entire life. Originally training as a carpenter/joiner, Ray’s main career has been building a construction business which his five sons now manage working all over Cambridgeshire. But furniture making has never been far away and has been a lifetime passion.
With more time on his hands Ray has turned his passion into a small business; designing and making unique furniture from his workshop in South Cambridge.
